Carlos Ocampo Destroys Abraham Juarez in One Round

Carlos “Chema” Ocampo did not waste time, nor did he think twice.

As soon as the fight started, he went on the attack, connected, hurt his rival, Abraham “Pitbull” Juarez, and ended him.

Ocampo (29-1, 19 KO’s) finished the fight in one minute and 19 seconds, with Juárez (20-7, 8 KO’s) getting taken out. Ocampo is in the world rankings, making a possible title opportunity inch closer and closer.

A quick and powerful combination, up and down, put Juárez on the canvas, who got up with great difficulties, and had a lost look, and referee Juan José Ramírez stopped the actions in a correct way.

“Chema” exhibited power, precision and above all, that eye of the tiger in going for the kill.

Also on the card, Jorge “Chino” Garcia from Mochite imposed his experience, his boxing (offensive and defensive), the patience to execute his fight plan, and the intelligence to win a fight round after round – as he achieved an important victory at home, over the Tijuana native José “Berna” Lozano, who lost his undefeated record.

Garcia (19-2, 16 KO’s) was precise and always dangerous from a distance, he repeated power punches to his opponent’s face and was clearly the boss in the ring. In short, his defensive resources nullified an opponent who had won all his fights by knockout, but had never fought more than two rounds per fight.

“Berna” Lozano (8-1, 8 KO’s) wanted to do what had always given him good results: attack, look for the forceful knockout. However, Garcia never allowed him to feel comfortable, and at times he got frustrated – in the fourth round he had a point deducted for low blows.

Garcia fought from a distance, where he felt comfortable.

At the end of the eight rounds in this welterweight fight, Garcia took the victory by unanimous decision, with scorecards of 79-72, 78-73 and 77-74.
